ORELIMINARY SURFACE TREATMENT
Before applying the cover:
- Clean from dirt, scale and layers of other materials with a metal brush, emery cloth or other instruments;
- With the use of solvents remove grease.
APPLICATION METHOD
Apply 4.0 mm cover to the air duct mechanically with a lute application device or by hand with a spittle.
Apply OVPF-1M at temperature not lower than +5ºC and relative humidity not more than 75%, for the best drying humidity must be not more than 65% and temperature (20 ± 2)ºC.
The net which covers the straight parts of the air duct is cut into 20 - 50 cm rolls and applied to the air duct surface in a spiral way.
On top of the fire protection cover you can apply paint (pentaftal enamel, chlorine sulphonated polyethylene, vinil chlotide), thin aluminum foil or foil reinforced with wire glass.
The necessary amount is 6 kg/m² for a 4 mm dry layer without the account of the loss.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE REQUIREMENTS
OVPF-1M fire protection cover is not hazardous and can be transported by any kind of vehicle. Storage requirements must be observed during transportation.
The cover is supplied in the metal or plastic buckets which are placed on pans in two rows and fixed with a thermal shrinkage film.
Keep OVPF-1M fire protection cover at temperatures not less than +5ºC and relative humidity up to 75%.
WARRANTED PERIOD
Warranted storage period on condition storage requirements are observed is 1.5 years in case the cover is kept in original closed containers. The term of service of an air duct with OVPF-1M cover with weather resistant finisher is not less than 15 years on condition the application and use requirements are covered.
